The Papers of Frank Field, 1969-1999.

This collection of papers consists of material on different television programs and documentaries that Frank Field appeared in (and wrote). They cover topics as varied as health and science, fire safety, the stress project, the Holocaust, air pollution, the Heimlich maneuver and dieting. In conjunction with the televsion programs, there is also material on several books that Mr. Field wrote, family photographs, news clippings and articles, awards and certificates as well as press releases. This collection also includes eight boxes of video tapes that cover all the above-mentioned and more; tapes from alcohol to crime prevention, drug abuse, allergy testing, pain disorders and breast cancer.

Frank Field was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 30, 1923. In 1944 he graduated with a B.A. in Geology from Brooklyn College. Upon graduation, he joined the Air Force, where he received his initial training as a meteorologist. Field earned his B.S. in Optometric Engineering from Columbia University and in, 1949, a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Massachusetts College of Optometry.
